Creating Your Retreat Experience

Every retreat is unique. Karmavida works closely with hosts to help design a balanced and inspiring itinerary using the many experiences available across the Costa Blanca. You can create a programme that supports the intention of your retreat and offers your guests a truly memorable experience.

  • SUP Altea La Olla Island(2 hrs)

  • A variety of movement and fitness classes can be arranged to complement your retreat programme. Options include yoga, Pilates, circuit training, water aerobics and general fitness sessions, suitable for a range of abilities and group styles.

  • Several excellent hiking routes are located close to the retreat, including the Monte Olta Traverse (easy, 4 km, 2–2.5 hrs), the Monte Olta Summit route (moderate, 7 km, approx. 3.5 hrs) or a longer trek from the villa to the peak (16 km, 5.5–7 hrs) for more experienced hikers. Other popular options nearby include the iconic Peñón de Ifach trek in Calpe (5 km, 2–3 hrs), the dramatic Sierra Bernia – El Forat route (9 km, 3.5–4 hrs), the scenic Benissa Coast eco-walk (7.1 km) and the Pinos Solana mountain hike (7 km, 2.5–3 hrs), all offering beautiful views of the Costa Blanca landscape.

  • Strength and conditioning sessions can also be incorporated into your retreat programme. With a wide range of CrossFit-style weights and equipment for hosts to hire.

  • (Easy) Swim time approx. 20 minutes each way, with shallow water and support lines. Guests can float or swim to La Olla Island for a short meditation. The PlantShack Swim Club is a friendly open-water swim community in Calpe, where group swims are often followed by coffee or healthy food at the nearby café.

  • Aerial yoga and aerial Pilates sessions can be arranged as part of your retreat. The hammocks support strength, flexibility and core stability, and hosts may also hire the aerial equipment to run their own classes.

  • The Costa Blanca is one of Europe’s most famous rock-climbing regions, with world-class routes around Calpe and the surrounding mountains. Guided sessions and lessons can be arranged for all levels.

  • Ideally located between

    and Altea, two of the most beautiful and characterful towns on the Costa Blanca, offering guests the perfect balance of nature, culture and Mediterranean lifestyle.

  • There are several horse-riding centres near the retreat offering guided rides through the beautiful countryside of the Costa Blanca. Experiences are available for both beginners and experienced riders.

  • A fun and unusual nature experience where guests hike through the inland mountains of the Costa Blanca accompanied by friendly pack goats.

  • Fonts de Algar & Guadalest Guided Tour

    Two of the Costa Blanca’s most famous inland highlights. We visit the beautiful Fonts de l’Algar waterfalls, followed by the historic mountain village of Guadalest, famous for its dramatic castle views and charming old streets.

  • Running, cycling, challenging hikes and open-water swimming can be incorporated into your retreat. Paul, an experienced endurance athlete, can guide guests on local training routes and help plan sessions around regional events such as the Perimetral Mountain Race in Benissa.

  • Wim Hof–inspired breathwork sessions and guided cold plunge experiences can be arranged to support resilience, focus and nervous system regulation. These sessions are led by a qualified breathwork coach.

  • Karmavida has annually been the venue for professional cycling training camps, as it is an ideal base for groups looking to explore the renowned cycling routes inthe area.

  • Ceremonial experiences such as energy work, Reiki healing, guided rituals and traditional shamanic ceremonies can be arranged with experienced practitioners.
